Job Description
Sinclair Digital is hiring a Manager of Video Ad Tech to work with our owned and operated advertising team that delivers ads across all of Sinclair's news and entertainment sites as well as Bally Sports, Tennis Channel, NewsOn and STIRR.

This candidate should have a deep operational knowledge of GAM and other ad serving technologies, and a deep understanding on how various CTV technology vendors work and plug into the ad tech stack. This is a position that is embedded in an evolving technical landscape so the ability to strategize and execute plans effectively is crucial to success. This position will be based at the company's corporate location in Hunt Valley, Maryland and will be primarily an in-office role. This candidate will be required to support and troubleshoot live event issues with the Bally Sports Digital Operations Center and the Site Reliability Engineering Team. Hours will be Monday through Friday 12pm-9pm, but will be required to flex based on live event schedules and will require shifting to weekend hours when live events require it.

Responsibilities:
• Serve as main point of contact for Video Advertising technologies, focused on Bally Sports
• Understanding of video encoding processes and workflows, storage and formats
• Deep understanding of video ingestion, procedures and livestreaming
• Able to provide Ad Tech troubleshooting for multiple digital, mobile, desktop and CTV/OTT platforms and ad technology providers
• Advanced knowledge of ad serving solutions (Google Ad Manager, Springserve),
• Deep working knowledge on troubleshooting tools (Charles proxy, Fiddler)
• Able to analyze and troubleshoot HTTP request, VAST and other ad tech or delivery issue - working knowledge of HTML and CSS
• Multi-platform advertising experience (websites, mobile apps, CTV) – display, video, native, outstream
• Ability to summarize complex ad technology concepts and requirements to technical and non-technical audiences
• Deep understanding of server-side ad insertion (SSAI & DAI)
• Work with AdOps, Product Owners and Product Managers to identify and resolve ad tech issues resulting in loss of revenue and revenue opportunities related to those issues
• Work with app developers on new app launches to ensure that ad serving is tested and ready for implementation
• Work with app developers on post-launch ad serving tech issues resulting in loss of revenue and ad opportunities
• Support Sinclair programmatic monetization strategies
• Provide feedback in evaluation of new product partners and vendors
• Create, update and maintain internal technical documentation
• Serve as key POC with Google around ongoing ad technology strategies

Qualifications:
• BA/BS Degree in relevant field
• 5+ years-experience in digital advertising operations
• In-depth knowledge of Google Ad Manager and other digital ad traffic systems
• In-depth understanding of Video Ad Serving templates, SSAI & CSAI
• In-depth understanding of programmatic Ad Tech – header bidding, SSPs, DSPs, DMPs, ad exchanges, ad networks, agency trading desks
• Understand general web technologies used in ad codes (HTML, JavaScript, Flash, etc.)
• In-depth understanding of verification tools (Integral Ad Science, DoubleVerify, Nielsen…)
• In-depth knowledge of Google Analytics
• Must be exceptionally organized, and be able to work in a fast-paced changing environment
• Expert level proficiency with Microsoft office suite, especially Excel
• Strong written and verbal communication skill
