Job Description
The Senior Director of Enterprise Data will provide leadership and direction to a team of data professionals and managers. In this role, the Enterprise Data Leader will provide strategic vision and management to establish and/or drive the optimization of road-maps in the areas of data governance, data quality management (DQM), Information Architecture, MDM/Reference data management, data collection tools & methods, and data operations. They will work closely with business stakeholders, data stewards, process owners, engineering, and vendor partners to realize the strategic vision. A full life cycle of operational experience is required that includes front-end data conceptualization, pilot approaches, implementation, and scaling to enterprise needs. They will take the lead in communicating and socializing best in class data management practices.

Specific Duties:
• Lead and inspire a team of data professionals to provide integrated data architecture, consistent data delivery of master and reference data, and robust data governance program with data quality monitoring and operations
• Provide leadership support to end-to-end Information Architects on tools and data roadmap for reference and master data program
• Collaborate with leaders, peers, vendors, and across engineering on data solutions
• Educate on data management, master/reference data processes, applications, and business rules
• Create robust data governance standards and engage executive stakeholders / participants in the Data Governance Council which builds or produces standards, policies and ownership of data assets
• Shape information architecture to create the analysis, data design, and publish processes for reference data for in scope data areas/subjects
• Provide oversight on data requests after team provides impact assessments – understanding reference data integration needs, data sources, and contributors
• Drive the team to create architecturally sound solutions to proactively identify and resolve data-related quality issues for transactional or reference data, installing DQM dashboards where needed
• Promote a consistent data release management, change management, and intake process
• Propel technology change in reference data management tooling, and ensure the allocated budget supports the proper management of data
• Manage multiple projects and make complex trade-offs to deliver the best possible outcomes for Sinclair
• Provide continuous improvement solutions to stakeholders that harness new technology, statistical methods, and innovations to enable SBG lines of business

Desired Skills and Experience:
• Proficiency in multiple data technologies and processes such as MDM, data architecture, data modelling, data governance, and data quality
• Experience in advanced data collection, processing tools and methods desired to include business intelligence, machine learning, social media, data enrichment, graph based visualization, and other next generation digital transformation capabilities
• Experience with project management and workflow tools desired
• Experience with developing and driving data governance programs
• Knowledgeable about data quality management (DQM) vision, processes and tools
• Experience with Microsoft MDS or other MDM tools or products (e.g. SAP MDG)
• Mastery of reference data management principles (MDM processes such as match-merge, data collection and publish issues), data modelling, data mastering, metadata management, and tools strongly preferred
• Comfortable managing a team of 10-15 people
• Strong experience with vendor/contract management, budgeting, and administration
• Established history of team leadership and management of data focused resources
• Proven track record of inspiring and leading teams through transformation
• Ability to lead and drive large enterprise programs, with strong program and project management experience
• Experience leading virtual and/or complex, matrixed teams in a larger organization
• Exceptional executive, team, and business stakeholder communication
• Lean Six Sigma certification and experience in applying continuous process improvement tools and methods desired
• Experience with business case development, analysis of alternatives, and technology return on investment assessments is desired
• Experience and use of agile tools and methods desired
• Experience with enterprise level budget preparation and management is desired
• Master's degree required
• Must be familiar with data security and compliance protocols and certifications leading to implementation
