Promotions Producer

Job Description

You have the rare opportunity to work with the #1 rated news team in Arkansas, at one of the strongest TV stations in the country. KATV is a team filled with spirit, passion and imagination, providing the market with local news, entertainment and social media content. We help grow the most talented people in television, and we are currently seeking a full-time Promotions Producer! This position reports to the Promotions Director.

Responsibilities include:
• Produce (write, shoot, edit) :30 second TV spots promoting news stories, news image, syndicated & network shows
• Create and maintain the brand identity in the market
• Demonstrate strong self-starter producer skills
• Write captivating copy for :30 second and :15 second TV spots
• Generate creative on-brand ideas for future promos
• Promote station priorities through creative and engaging social media content
• Participate in station events within the community
• Other responsibilities as assigned

Required Skills and Experience:
• Must be able to create, conceptualize, script, shoot, and edit cutting edge promos while also managing multiple deadlines
• At least two years of promotion and/or TV news experience is preferred
• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
• Professional video shooting skills required
• Proficiency with non-linear editing software such as Avid and/or Adobe Premiere required
• Proficiency with Adobe After Effects and Photoshop preferred
• Excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills
• Ability to be a team player and work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to understand and utilize social media effectively and strategically
