Job Description
As the largest most diversified television broadcasting company in the country, we continuously look to embrace new digital opportunities and challenge ourselves to defy expectations of what a broadcaster can do. Recently, we strategically acquired 23 Regional Sports Networks (RSNs) and we are looking for team members to join us in integrating this new and important piece of our business that will expand our range of content across the country and extend our multi-platform expansion opportunities. We are looking for a strong Product Manager to lead our Software Applications Network Management Control (NMC) application team. You will manage team members responsible for the usability of the NMC application utilized by Sinclair's regional sports networks (RSNs). In addition to management, you will be intimately involved in the product backlog, and champion Agile methodology (where applicable) to continually develop the application.

Responsibilities:
Operations, Collaboration & Partnerships
• Own the Product backlog and manage the feature development on a daily basis to ensure that priorities adhere to the strategic direction outlined by the Software Applications Director
• Build, manage and groom product backlogs through prioritization and negotiation with key stakeholders
• Own and manage the short and long-term roadmap for Sinclair's NMC application
• Help define the product approach and strategy and create associated documentation
• Translate the product strategy into clearly prioritized user stories and business requirements
• Lead the development and maintenance of a product backlog, short and long-term product roadmaps with milestones and key metrics
• Partner with business relationship managers, enterprise architects, 3rd party vendors, and business process stakeholders to ensure the applications meet short and long term needs of the organization from functional and technical perspectives
• Act as primary technical point of contact for 3rd party vendor solutions
• Work with the development and infrastructure teams, to develop consistent release schedule and manage stakeholder expectations
• Lead/support team throughout the SDLC to ensure accurate, timely delivery of prioritized product releases
• Interface with other departments as needed to collect required information and understand customer experience
• Validate that the recommended solution aligns with business goals and objectives
• Evaluate the impact and risk related to requested changes
• Support development and monitor the progress of the activities assigned to the development team

Performance Improvement
• Track operations and constantly look for ways to make things work better, faster, and smoother
• Ensure proper production release procedures are followed
• Adopt Agile methodology as appropriate to facilitate iterative and continual improvement of product

People Management & Development

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience
• 5+ years as a product manager for corporate/business software applications
• 5+ years' experience as a business or systems analyst
• 3+ years experiences working in the Media & Entertainment cable or broadcast television industry with experience on business applications supporting content programming, production, and/or playout and distribution preferred
• Experience with broadcast (linear and non-linear) program NMC platforms preferred
• Experience building, managing user stories, grooming product backlogs, prioritization, estimation, building epics and release scoping
• Strong analytical thinking/problem solving skills with attention to detail when creating and reviewing functional and technical designs and data/process flow diagrams
• Excellent relationship management skills – negotiation, managing expectations, timely, appropriate and consistent communications, conflict management
• Experience working a data-driven environment, managing KPIs to ensure goals are established and met
• Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate technical concepts and considerations to different audiences including developers, business users, management and executives
• Expertise working with internal technical groups and 3rd party vendors
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience with full software development lifecycle (SDLC) including ITIL, Waterfall and Agile methodologies
