Job Description
Marquee Sports Network is seeking a National Sales Manager based in Chicago, Illinois.

Marquee, the network home of the iconic Chicago Cubs is looking for a dynamic revenue generator and manager to join our talented team. This position encompasses the oversight of generating and managing the national revenue for our Emmy Award winning network. The ideal candidate will possess a keen attention to detail, be highly organized and demonstrate a proven ability to drive revenue with agencies, clients and prominent decision makers. Our National Sales Manager must be able to build agency and direct client relationships as well as motivate our national sales representative, Home Team Sports. The ideal candidate must demonstrate a strong work ethic, a passion for baseball, sports and sports programming, a highly competitive will to win and a proven ability to create revenue opportunities across linear, digital and social platforms.

Responsibilities include:
• Increase annual network revenue by collaborating with Home Team Sports
• Creating new revenue partnerships within our local viewing footprint
• Develop and maintain a strong working relationship with agencies, planners and direct clients
• Work with our local team to co-create revenue generating client opportunities
• Plan, strategize, achieve and exceed our national revenue budget
• Proven ability to analyze issues thoroughly in order to make sound business decisions and solve problems effectively

Requirements:
• Highly effective communicator with SVP of Ad Sales in the development, execution and achievement of revenue goals
• Effective verbal/written communication, organizational and planning skills
• Demonstrates an ability to build strong internal and external connections
• Consistently develops strategies to overachieve revenue expectations across our linear, digital and social assets
• Have a working knowledge of political guidelines and can manage a large volume of political encompassing Federal/Local Candidates and Issue advertising
• Has an excellent understanding of how to price effectively in a competitive marketplace
• Candidate must be willing to travel, at times in short notice and outside of traditional business hours to engage with clients and national sales offices across the country
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint and ideally has experience with wide orbit traffic and wide orbit media sales

Education:
• 4- year bachelor's degree preferred

Required Experience:
• Broadcast sales experience in a top 10 Nielsen ranked market
• Existing Client Relationships that will immediately lead to revenue generation
• Knowledge of the Chicago and Midwest marketplaces
