Job Description
Sinclair Broadcast Group seeks a motivated and experienced Manager of Systems Engineering to join the Corporate Information Technology Department. The individual will develop, integrate, and support key Enterprise infrastructure solutions.

Responsibilities:
• Manage, mentor, train, and provide technical guidance to a team of Systems Engineers and Administrators
• Utilize Agile methodologies to drive execution and increase velocity of Systems Engineering projects
• Collaborate with other internal teams and third-party vendors to define best-in-class solutions
• Support and participate in the development of architecture designs for enterprise-wide systems infrastructure environments
• Define and proactively monitor KPIs and address areas of improvement for systems infrastructure
• Provide technical guidance on Systems Engineering initiatives
• Hold bi-weekly metrics reviews reporting up the most important metrics, creating and executing action plans to address key findings.
• Collaborate with automation team to establish and expand metrics and reporting, fostering a partnership with the systems team and the automation team for combined deliverables
• Develop and enforce standards across engineering teams to ensure compliance with organization practices such as infrastructure as code or unified authentication
• Develop performance management plans and drive career development
• Work collaboratively across technical disciplines and stakeholder teams
• Perform high-level systems engineering work along in addition to management duties

Experience, Skills & Competencies:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems or a related field or equivalent work experience
• Immediate authorization to work in the US
• 5+ years of experience in a technical leadership position at lead or manager level
• 15+ years relevant systems analysis/support experience
• 15+ years of experience directly administering and supporting Microsoft Window Server
• 10+ years of experience directly administering and supporting Linux operating systems
• 10+ years of experience with scripting and IT process automation – PowerShell, Ansible, Terraform, Python, JSON, Jenkins, etc.
• 10+ years of experience with virtualization – VMware, Citrix, Containers, microservices
• Advanced knowledge of Active Directory, LDAP, MFA, Group Policy, NTFS and DFS
• Advanced knowledge of networking protocols TCP/IP, VoIP, DNS and DHCP and how to troubleshoot network events and problems
• Understanding of industry best practices surrounding proper maintenance and support of a 24x7 server infrastructure - Server hardening, server tuning, vulnerability, and patch management
• Demonstrable implementation of infrastructure lifecycles including planning, budgeting, forecasting, ordering, implementation, and tracking of projects/assets deployment
• Experience with stand-alone, converged and hyperconverged infrastructure
• Experience supporting and managing private and public cloud solutions
• Experience working within an Agile/SAFe framework
• Experience with storage configuration and management: HPE Nimble Storage, NetApp, EMC Isilon
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making
• Strong presentation skills with deep experience in data usage both in excel and other dash-boarding platforms
• Strong leadership skills
• Ability to quickly grasp technical issues and offer solutions
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Outgoing and enthusiastic personality
• Professional business demeanor
• Customer-focused attitude and desire to interface directly with end-user clients
• MCSE or RHCE required
• Cloud (AWS or GCP) Certification required
• VCP a plus
