IT Engineer

WPDE needs YOU to continure to elevate our engineering team. The IT Engineer plays an imperative role as the resource for engineering team, leadership and the location's personnel. We need a dynamic team lead to help grow the impact of our engineering team!

Responsibilities Include:
• Install, maintain, and repair computers, servers, network equipment, and broadcast systems
• Provide technical support to operational users
• PC/MAC/Unix hardware/software support on-site installing, servicing, and repairing workstations and servers
• Provide support for the technical needs of the News Department
• Develop knowledge of facility-specific IT needs and assist in supporting these systems
• Apply regular security updates to broadcast servers and systems
• Consult and communicate with engineering management and other engineers on technical issues as required
• Perform all technical work to engineering standards and practices and maintain accurate records of all work performed
• Learn and adhere to all Sinclair IT policies
• Other duties as assigned
Other Qualifications and Requirements:
• Associates degree (AA) or equivalent experience in IT, electronics, or computer-related field
• Self-starter, able to work efficiently without direct supervision
• A great team-oriented attitude and dedication to QUALITY
• Strong familiarity with Microsoft, MAC, and Linux operating systems
• Excellent communication skills
• Familiarity with AVID-related software and hardware a plus
• Knowledge and experience with Virtual Server systems a plus
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule with on-call duty, including weekends and holidays
• Ability to lift computers and equipment generally less than 50 pounds
• Must have valid driver's license
• Must maintain reliable transportation
