Freelance Graphics Producer

Marquee Sports Network seeks a Graphics Producer, with strong knowledge of television production, and a willingness to be a part of a fun, award-winning energetic production team that has a passion for baseball. The Graphics Producer will help to assist the Producer, Director and Graphics Operator in several tasks including:

Responsibilities:
• Bring a positive and creative attitude daily
• Thorough day-to-day knowledge of sports news, information, and history with the skill to translate content into short, specific, and concise messages that are easily comprehended and digested by the viewing audience.
• Candidate must demonstrate the ability to show leadership, to drive content and to leverage relationships by working collaboratively with team members.
• Responsible for the creation or supervising the creation of written content, visual content, and statistics under tight deadlines in a live broadcast environment.
• Shape and enhance storylines using superior editorial judgment and clear, concise written content.
• Check and proof graphics for grammar, spelling, clarity and impact under tight deadlines during live productions.
• Communicate effectively and clearly across the production, editorial and technology departments to ensure the highest levels of execution and best on-air product.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate must have most, if not all, the following skills, and experiences:
• A minimum of 2 to 5 years sports television production experience or related business experience is required.
• Effectively utilize VIZ and rundown software
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Be extremely organized, demonstrate initiative and an ability to complete multiple assignments in a timely manner with tight deadlines.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Individual must work well in a dynamic environment and be able to recommend and implement process improvements, work independently, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Knowledge of sports gambling preferred but not required
• Demonstrate the ability to work calmly under a pressurized live television environment.
• Possess the ability to work in control rooms for extended periods of time to produce required content.
• Possess auditory acuity to effectively listen to instructions via intercom system, phones, etc.
• Possess the manual dexterity to effectively operate keyboard/mouse on computers, edit equipment, etc.
