Financial Analyst

Job Description

We have a great opportunity for you! Sinclair Broadcast Group is looking for a dynamic individual to be part of the Sinclair team as a Financial Analyst. This role will sit at our corporate office where you will work in our Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) department, with a focus on quarterly forecasts and annual budgets for our television stations and regional sports networks. This position will also be responsible for compensation planning and bonus plans.

Responsibilities include:
• Assist FP&A team with forecast and budget deliverables, variance analysis and reporting for senior management
• Review and distribute weekly and monthly sales reports to senior management
• Update and communicate incentive goals and achievement to goal for participants in the Incentive Plan
• Assist FP&A Manager with annual compensation process and policies
• Assist FP&A Manager with design and implementation of corporate and broadcast manager bonus plans
• Assist FP&A Manager with designing and organization of company commission plans and sales restructures as needed
• Various adhoc analysis as requested

Skills and Requirements:
• BS degree in Accounting or Finance
• Advanced Excel skills required
• Strong strategic thinking and an ability to solve problems creatively
• Excellent communication skills with a demonstrable history of working collaboratively and building relationships with all levels of management
• Strong aptitude for accuracy and attention to detail
• Working knowledge of financial statement analysis
• Experience working in financial software systems (Oracle or TM1) preferred
• Ability to work independently as well as on a team
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, professional environment
• At least 3 years' experience
