Executive Director, Financial Planning and Analysis

Job Description

Sinclair is looking for a senior level hands on leader in directing the short term and long-term financial planning, rolling forecasts, and budgeting processes for all segments of the organization. The position reports directly to the CFO.

Responsibilities:
• Oversees and leads the operation of a strong FP&A team responsible for long-term strategic planning, short term planning, budgeting, forecasting, scenario planning and financial analysis activities
• Directs and drives the financial planning process, including trends, predictive analytics, variance analysis, modeling assumptions, scenario planning, and reporting
• Works closely with operations to ensure timely and accurate inputs and updates to planning versions
• Works closely with accounting and business units
• Partners with investor relations and treasury teams for cash forecasting and quarterly earnings reporting
• Prepares Board and Executive reports, as needed
• Oversees ongoing improvement of the current EPM system, as well as potential integration to a new EPM system
• Responsible for integrating acquired businesses into the planning process and software
• Demonstrates continuous learning while mentoring and assisting with on-going development of the FP&A team

Requirements:
• Proven experience in a senior level FP&A role or in a position with relevant responsibilities
• Excellent financial modeling, reporting and analytical skills
• Planning software proficiency (Cognos TM1 and/or Oracle EPM a plus)
• Experience with companies having multiple business lines and segments
• Overachieving attitude and enhanced work ethic

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Self-motivated and function well independently
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Experience managing staff
• Bachelor's degree or higher
