Executive Director, Business Development (Corporate Finance)

Sinclair is looking for a dynamic, motivated leader to drive value across all areas of the company as the Executive Director, Business Development. In this role, you will report directly to the EVP/CFO and lead a highly analytical problem-solving team charged with the strategic and financial development of Sinclair's growth initiatives.

Sinclair needs an experienced manager who is able to work effectively and cross-functionally to take the lead on identifying, evaluating, and implementing company-wide initiatives with the goal of enhancing long-term profitability for the company and evolving the broadcast industry.

In addition to team leadership, you will have the opportunity to directly lead business initiatives, provide strategic recommendations to senior leadership, and interface with all corporate departments, television stations and other Sinclair assets.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:
• Lead Sinclair's strategic financial modeling efforts with the goal of maximizing value for the company
• Manage, develop, and deploy a team of analysts to provide financial support for the company's various growth initiatives
• Ensure that current and future business opportunities are fully evaluated, including:
• Financial projections
• Revenue paradigm (ex. revenue share vs. license fee)
• Likelihood of success/market fit
• Proper leveraging of existing assets
• Fit with Sinclair's strategic goals across content, marketing, and distribution
• Produce analyses and recommendations for senior management to drive strategic growth
• Evaluate potential strategic partnerships
• Represent the interests of the company in negotiations with outside parties
• Supervise the collection and analysis of data from both internal and external sources to evaluate profitability across multiple lines of business
• Conduct independent research into new business opportunities
• Complete ad hoc projects as assigned

We are looking for someone who has:
• 10+ years of pertinent experience - various backgrounds will be considered
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with a high level of intellectual curiosity
• Ability to solve problems creatively
• Proven track record and enthusiasm for building, managing, mentoring, and inspiring teams
• Excellent communication skills with a demonstrable history of influencing organizations, working collaboratively, and building relationships with all levels of management
• Great interpersonal skills
• The ability to deliver high quality results under tight deadlines
• A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required; MBA preferred
