Job Description
The ideal candidate should be adept at using large data sets to find opportunities for product and process optimization and using models to test the effectiveness of different courses of action. They must have experience using a variety of data mining/data analysis methods, using a variety of data tools, building and implementing models, and using/creating algorithms. They must have a proven ability to drive business results with their data-based insights. They must be comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders and functional teams. The right candidate will have a passion for discovering solutions hidden in large data sets and working with stakeholders to improve business outcomes.

Job Responsibilities include:
• Developing and maintaining understanding of Sinclair Digital products
• Work with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions
• Analyze data from company databases to drive optimization and improvement of product development
• Use predictive modeling to increase and optimize customer experiences, revenue generation, ad targeting and other business outcomes
• Leveraging Data Visualization software (Power BI preferred, Tableau, Data Studio) to help tell stories through data
• Support 3rd party data integration
• Analyze performance after launch to audit impression and traffic levels after site or app migrations, etc
• Identify data seasonality, outliers for our products and platforms
• Execute deep-dive analysis that are priorities of the business that helps develop informed decisions
• Providing week over week, month over month and year over year reporting in addition to any day-to-day sales support and operational needs of the local news stations
• Understanding and translating the digital ecosystem to sales driven professionals as the resident expert
• Being agile and adapting to new processes and workstreams
• Solutions-oriented and team player

Required Skills:
• BA in Math, Statistics, Marketing Analytics, Media, or related field
• 3 + years' work experience in data analytics, media research or data science with ad tech company
• A strong understanding of key sales metrics and online media measurements (impressions, CPMs, eCPMs, uniques, sessions, pageviews, visits, referrers, viewability, etc)
• Experience using Google Ad Manager, Google Analytics, Data Studio, Google BigQuery or comparable digital analytics and cloud provider
• Programming skills (ie: SAS, SQL, etc)
• Advanced skills in Excel (ie. Knowledge of spreadsheet functionality including V-lookup, pivot tables, macros, charts, and graphics)
• Knowledge in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd party data capabilities
• Experience with Salesforce, Tableau or SQL a plus
• Ability to coordinate and communicate across multiple teams to deliver the desired outcome
• Understanding of statistics concepts and methods, data mining, and statistical modeling
• Understanding of broadcast/cable, CTV/OTT and digital media landscape a PLUS
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong problem solving, troubleshooting and collaboration skills
• Positive attitude and ability to work productively in an open environment
