Job Description
Marquee Sports Network is the exclusive television home of the Chicago Cubs in partnership with Sinclair Broadcast Group (Nasdaq: SBGI). It is the Chicago-region's exclusive network for fans to view live Cubs games, features extensive pre and postgame coverage, exclusive Cubs content and other local sports programming. Marquee Sports Network brings together one of the most iconic sports franchises in the country with one of the largest television broadcasting companies to deliver unprecedented Cubs coverage for fans.

Marquee Sports Network is seeking a Broadcast Systems Engineer to support and maintain the infrastructure and equipment of the entire television network. This includes daily control room, studio and live remote engineering support in a 2110 IP based facility. The Broadcast Systems Engineer will report to the Senior Director Technical Operations and will assist in the overall upkeep of the facility and studio operation. As such, candidate must be an exceptional project manager with attention to detail, highly organized, strong communicator with the ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with and supporting:
• Production switchers
• Video routers
• Wireless microphones and audio mixers
• Intercom systems
• Video servers and replay systems
• Video editing and archive systems
• Encoders and transmission equipment
• Computers (PCs and Macs)
• Experience with Vizio and/or CAD is a definite plus

We prefer candidates with at least five years of broadcast engineering experience at a national or regional sports network, mobile production company or TV station. Most importantly, we are looking for someone who is:
• A self-starter who works well with others in a team environment
• Able to prioritize work in a high-pressure environment
• Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on operational needs
• Current on broadcast engineering skills and modern broadcast standards and systems
• Proficient in basic IT standards and practices including some computer networking
• Eager to learn new technologies and expand their skill set
• A solid communicator with excellent written and oral communication skills
• Able to run and terminate cables including coaxial, twisted pair, audio, and fiber optic cables
