Your Role:

This key role will focus on the event side of publicity campaigns, whether in-person or virtual, across the whole children's S&S list. As well as providing essential event and admin help across the PR team you will also have responsibility for developing and managing your own titles' publicity campaigns. You will also contribute to big brand campaigns and liaise with the team across a wide range of PR opportunities such as Netgalley, librarian conferences, media promotions and awards. In addition building strong working relationships with authors, agents and colleagues in sales, editorial, rights and marketing is essential. This role will require travel and occasional weekend work.

The Candidate's Profile:

We are looking for a talented individual with passion and enthusiasm for children's books. Experience of working in a publicity team or the book industry as a whole is helpful. A creative individual who is self-motivated, with knowledge of planning innovative campaigns and events and a keen interest in the media. We are looking for someone with initiative to problem solve, communicate well and be a team player. You will have a flair for writing great copy and press releases, an ability to deliver campaigns across print, digital, and great interpersonal skills. We are keen to hear from the widest range of candidates and we are open to different types of experience and backgrounds.

It is important that applicants have a real interest in all areas of the publishing process and an understanding of the key role PR can have in driving book sales and raising authors' profiles. You must also demonstrate exceptional author care, excellent interpersonal skills, as well as a real desire to engage and inspire the widest possible audience.
