The open National Account Manager position is responsible for selling all S&S Adult and Children's wholly owned titles to Baker & Taylor and Ingram, approximately 200 titles per sales call. The account manager must curate the Adult and Children's lists down to 50 library focus titles each season, create PowerPoint and present relevant titles to the Library Collection Development teams. Attend publisher meetings; prepare account feedback to share with publishers; secure coop, webinar/lecture opportunities and advertising at each account. Read manuscripts and provide feedback on title development, audience, and potential sales and market strategies. Coordinate seasonal library mailings. Manage inventory needs at each account. Oversee rapid replenishment program by managing stock and recommending reorders. Maintain coop pools for each account.
• Minimum 3-5 years of active selling experience in the publishing industry
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal
• Highly organized with ability to prioritize competing demands
• Experience with order processing & inventory management
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Edelweiss
• Passionate reader
