Full-time, permanent contract – end of Jan/early Feb start

We now have a rare opportunity for a well-read, passionate, strategic, and innovative individual to join the executive team, heading up the marketing and publicity department.

Purpose of the role:

The Marketing & Publicity Director is responsible for the company's B2B and B2C marketing and communications strategies, ensuring all activities are in alignment with the overall goals set by the business.

Responsibilities include things like this:
• Develop and implement the overall marketing and publicity strategy for the company
• Set the strategic direction and oversee the company's owned channels and lead generation efforts
• Oversee the development and implementation of marketing initiatives, including consumer engagement, sales collateral, conferences and events
• Continually review changes to the market, consumer trends and the activities of competitors, adjusting the marketing plan if necessary
• Oversee and guide the day-to-day activities of the marketing & publicity
• Develop and manage key relationships with a range of partners including media agencies, retailer marketing contacts, freelance publicists, printers and other suppliers.
• Ensure the company's brand message is strong and consistent across all communication channels and marketing efforts
• Stay up to date on the latest marketing trends and identify and champion the evolution of marketing technology platforms and audiences within the company
• Develop, manage and report on the annual marketing and publicity budget
• Report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and initiatives to the wider business and customers when relevant
• Conduct market research studies
• Work closely with the sales team to Coordinate sales and marketing efforts to boost brand awareness with retailers

What we'd like you to bring:
• At least 8-10 years of experience in a high-level marketing role, leading a team
• Demonstrated experience in originating and executing successful, innovative marketing and communications strategies with an inherent customer focus
• Proven experience in digital marketing
• Proven ability to manage budgets

• A creative, innovative thinker who is analytical and data driven
• High competency in project and stakeholder management with excellent interpersonal skills
• Effective time management skills and the ability to multitask with great attention to detail
