Job Profile:

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Financial Accountant is as an integral part of the S&S UK Finance team, supporting the wider Finance team with completion of monthly financial reporting and has responsibility for ongoing balance sheet reconciliation.

Your Role:

You will be responsible for ensuring completeness, efficiency and accuracy of financial records for all areas of the P&L and balance sheet. Therefore, you will be the key contact for the immediate Finance team for all accounting areas; for the Rights team concerning Accounts Receivable; for the wider business concerning Accounts Payable and employee expenses; for the Adult editorial team concerning operating expenses; for colleagues at S&S Inc., S&S India and S&S Australia concerning financial reporting and intercompany transactions. You will assist the Financial Controller and team with review, design and implementation of improvements of processes and implementation of controls.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The ideal candidate will be ACA qualified with one year's post qualification working within a Finance team in industry. You will have exceptional organisational and communication skills together with solid knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Dynamics Navision accounting software or other similar accounting packages, including purchases and sales ledgers and cashbooks (desired but not essential) and in IBM's TM1 (desired but not essential).

You will be a proactive team player, self-motivated and able to work under own autonomy with strong attention to detail and problem solving skills as well as have good analytical skills and the ability to use judgement.
