Simon & Schuster is seeking a children's books Editor for Paula Wiseman Books. This Editor will acquire and edit roughly 10 books a year, including fiction and nonfiction picture books and middle grade novels.

This individual will
• Prioritize seeking out authors and illustrators from diverse and underrepresented backgrounds. Seeking out new and up-and-coming authors and illustrators.
• Strategize the publication track for our house authors and illustrators and develop ideas for their future projects.
• Collaborate with marketing and publicity departments to develop ideas for book promotion.
• Represent the imprint at industry events, virtual conferences while searching for new talent. Network with agents via phone and Zoom and in person after return to office.

7 to 10 years' experience in children's publishing with established agent contacts is required.
