Job Summary

Paramount Television Studios as part of the Paramount Premium Segment (Showtime, BET

& PTVS) is seeking a VP, Production Finance that is able to collaborate with various

stakeholders in production accounting operations and finance for our original programming.

This is an ideal position for someone who has a comprehensive understanding of production

finance and accounting and is looking to bring their strong competencies to a fast-paced

industry leader. Key duties will include the oversight of productions, budgeting and facilitating

proper reporting of costs to the FP&A group. This position will work cross-functionally to

directly support Production Finance FP&A, Corporate Finance, Business Affairs, Production,

Treasury and Tax. This position will report to the SVP, Production Finance.

The ideal candidate will be highly detail-oriented, possess strong communication skills, be

able to process many tasks simultaneously with accuracy and take the initiative to drive

process improvements.

Responsibilities to include, but not limited to:
• Supervise free-lance production accountants assigned to TV projects
• Thorough understanding of the Television budgeting process
• Preparation of TV budgets including Series, MOW, Mini Series
• Manage co-productions
• Track co-financing
• Cash forecasting
• Enforce policy and procedures
• Weekly cost reports
• Daily hot costs
• Understand guild payroll
• Liaise with outside third party payroll services
• Provide co-fi partners with required reporting and forecasts
• Participate in preparation of annual production spend forecast
• Thorough knowledge and understand of both domestic and international TV tax

credits and incentives
• Prepare and track TV incentive applications
• Liaise with 3

party auditors to facilitate tax credit filings
• Liaise with Network and guild auditors for review of wrapped TV projects
• Attend and participate in weekly staff production meetings
• Contribute to preparation of weekly production status report for submission to senior

management

Basic Qualifications
• 10+ years of experience, preferably with some field production accounting experience on

scripted series.
• Solid understanding of controllership accounting and entertainment industry best

practices.
• Knowledge of tax incentives, payroll processes, union labor agreements and tax

requirements.
• Bachelor's degree strongly preferred
