Overview & Responsibilities:

We are seeking an Analytics Engineer to join the growing Data Science team at Showtime! This role will report to the Senior Data Scientist and will work alongside members of Analytics & Insights, Consumer Insights, Programming Research, Finance, Consumer and Digital Marketing, Sales, and Product teams. The Data Science team focuses on transformative analytics that create meaningful data products and consumer insights that support data-directed decision making in every corner of our business.

About You: You LOVE data: you love exploring the nuances of data, you love developing efficient data-pipelines, and, most importantly, you love communicating data. We are looking for an individual who has past experience crafting and maintaining data-pipelines and deploying dashboards.

Responsibilities
• Build and maintain 'production-grade' analysis pipelines that culminate in dashboards
• Build useful, intuitive, and beautiful Tableau dashboards
• Work with key partners throughout the company and larger corporation to understand their analytics needs and translate these needs into reliable data solutions
• Clearly communicate critical metrics to key partners and data professionals throughout Showtime and the larger Viacom-CBS corporation
• Develop deep knowledge about our data pipelines such that you can communicate the 'who, what, where, when, how, & why' of our data
• Write reliable, testable, efficient, clean, and well-documented code

Basic Qualifications:
• 3+ years of hands-on experience developing data-pipelines with SQL or Python
• 1+ years of hands-on experience building dashboards
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Additional Qualifications:
• Deep experience writing code as part of a team (Git)
• Experience with media or subscription businesses
• Experience with distributed computing (PySpark, Databricks)
• Experience with Apache Airflow
• Experience with cloud deployments (AWS)
