The Supervising Producer at Shondaland will focus on Shondaland Audio's operations and slate management while leading producers. Working closely with your team, you will organize the smooth planning, production, and release of Shondaland Audio podcasts.

The Supervising Producer is a skilled project manager with a track record of successfully leading teams from pitch to publish with a commitment to showcasing unique, diverse voices and stories.

The Supervising Producer reports to the Chief Design and Digital Media Officer.

The Dailies - Your Impact
• Work closely with executives on development, slate strategy and fostering external partnerships.
• Develop smooth planning, production process and release of all Shondaland Audio podcasts.
• Collaborate with content teams across Shondaland to translate tv and streaming content into podcasts that extend the viewing experience.
• Drive the editorial direction of our podcasts by leading show development, pitch meetings, ongoing production meetings and other milestone meetings
• Work with both internal and external partner teams on social media, marketing, and advertising to maximize revenue potential and foster strong communication and synergy.
• Contribute ideas on how to expand into the podcast space using Shondaland's storytelling strengths while seeking audience engagement and audience growth opportunities.
• Collaborate with Shondaland and partner executives on editorial and production needs for shows to include managing show budgets, production outsourcing and payment processes.
• Foster mentorship and skill development opportunities for producers and coordinators.
• Assume producer role on one or more high-level titles during launch seasons, setting each show up for success.
• Help to develop diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility initiatives in collaboration with both internal Shondaland executives and external partner executives.
• Other duties as assigned.

Your Essentials/Qualifications
• Strong collaborative skills with ability to manage a project from inception to production, as well as the ability to delegate and prioritize effectively.
• Expert ear for audio and story edits coupled with a strong balance of return on time invested in each episode.
• Sound editorial judgment, keeping in mind the Shondaland brand identity.
• Strong executive communication and people management skills.
• Strong familiarity with the processes of podcast production, including but not limited to studio and remote recording and writing for audio.
• A strong sense of brand importance as a through line in content
• Dedication to fostering an inclusive and innovative environment. Highly organized, self-motivated, and detailed-oriented
• 5+ years' experience as an executive producer, or senior-level manager in podcasting, newsroom, live radio, or other multimedia production.
• Previous experience producing and launching podcasts preferred but will consider other comparable multimedia production experience.
• Understanding of the podcast industry, techniques, and emerging audio storytelling trends
• Experience working with talent, including coaching hosts
• Familiar or ability to learn digital tools such as AirTable, Google Meets, Zoom, G Drive, Dropbox, and Riverside.
• 1-2 years' experience managing a small team.
