Job Description

Sesame Workshop seeks a Manager, International Philanthropic Development and Partnerships, to join its dynamic team driving the next generation of its international social impact work. The Manager supports SW's efforts to secure funding for the Workshop's international initiatives from private and corporate foundations and government agencies. SW has achieved impressive expansion of its social impact globally, and this position will support the next generation of programmatic growth by helping to secure mission-aligned funding. This position is responsible for a wide range of activities involved in philanthropic development, the most significant of which are: drafting concept notes and letters of inquiry, designing proposals, and supporting funder engagement.

Responsibilities:
• Write strong and compelling concept notes and proposals for foundations and government agencies
• Prepare interim and final reports for funders
• Develop and manage protocols, calendars and knowledge management and organization systems for timely submission of proposals and reports
• Work collaboratively with international social impact teams on project planning for proposals and updates for reports
• Support prospecting and other funding landscape and donor research as needed
• Attend team meetings and serve as a resource on funder requirements and grant deliverables
• Manage/support the grant agreement/contracting process as needed
• Track grant and all prospect activity, and run pipeline reports in Salesforce

Qualifications:
• B.A. degree or similar experience
• 2-4 years development experience, with a particular focus on international programs – a focus on education, humanitarian, crisis-affected, or WASH programming a plus
• Excellent writing, organization, and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with funders and philanthropies funding international social impact programs, USAID experience a plus
• Must be a self-starter and work independently as well as in a team setting
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Experience with Salesforce a plus. Strong online research skills
