Job Description

Seed Staff is one of the UK’s top recruitment businesses, specialising in providing front-line staff for the events industry including the UK’s biggest festivals such as Latitude, Creamfields, Reading, and Leeds to name a few.

The last two years has seen rapid growth for the company, increasing the number of events, venues and clients we work with. Due to this we are looking for a Recruitment Assistant to join our team and help us reach a wider audience of potential onsite team members and keep our clients up to date.

As a huge presence on many festival sites & city-based venues, Seed Staff take large numbers of staff including bar, accreditation, campsite managers, wristbands and supervisors to events all throughout the year. These staff can be paid or volunteer for their festival ticket. These teams need to be recruited, managed, trained and have all the information they need to fulfill their role before heading to site. We need someone who is willing to work with our office team to reach staffing numbers via phone interviews, vetting processes and help with onsite management when required.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Recruiting teams for onsite operations
  • Admin and HR duties that come with the role such as checking rights to work
  • Managing social media page for staff
  • Updating clients with staff numbers, rotas and singing off time sheets
  • Creating weekly newsletters to advertise upcoming events
  • Create Facebook posts advertising upcoming events
  • Writing and issuing information packs
  • Collecting and managing deposits
  • Updating staff performance on bespoke software
  • On site management of staff. Managing teams of all sizes in a wide variety of roles from bar staff to catering; campsite managers to traffic stewards, at events and venues that vary from Sporting Events to Music Festivals. You will create rotas, manage welfare facilities, attend production meetings and deal with staff performance issues.
  • Updating processes to ensure we have the best staff/workers all summer
  • Recruiting last minute dropouts
  • Running telephone interviews with new team members

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

Essential

  • Good IT Skills
  • Good telephone manner
  • Excellent organisation & administration skills
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Able to work under pressure and to strict deadlines
  • Able to work flexible working hours over Summer
  • Experience with recruitment/staff training

Preferred

  • Experience working within the events industry
  • Experience dealing with the public
  • Experience in onsite management
  • A passion for live events
  • Driving Licence
  • Based in Birmingham

We are not a 9-5 company and we are flexible with working hours to meet the demands of the business. You will receive the necessary training, but you will need the drive to make a success of the role. This role can include unsociable hours and will include working on bank holidays and weekends throughout summer. Time in lieu will be honored and there will be a chance to enjoy the events you attend with our team.
