Job Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Works with the individual visual effects teams per project to establish key work, identifies possible points of interest and areas to showcase
• Creates and delivers marketing, press, social media and awards submission plans for each project
• Management and regular updates to all company social media platforms and company website
• Creates compelling and interactive visual content to share across digital platforms and to support press opportunities, including, but not limited to, VFX imagery, showreels and in progression content
• Manags alle aspects of awards submissions, from working with editorial to create awards reels, to confirming facility nominees and writing and recording voiceovers
• Pitches and secures appropriate print and digital press opportunities with trade and mainstream industry publications alike to profile our VFX work, talent and technology
• Securing public speaking opportunities for our key spokespeople and works alongside them to put together presentations, ensuresthe messaging is in keeping with the company's overall strategy
• Builds and maintains excellent relationships with key external parties such as journalists, media outlets, studios, conference
organizers, and software vendors
• Liases for clients on securing content approvals and aligning with the studio's overall marketing strategy for the project
• Writes web copy, media pitches, press releases, company press kits, supervisor bios and everything in between!
• Books advertising space in print publications and delivers completed adverts on time and to spec
• Supports recruitment efforts where required

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
• Minimum five (5) years of experience working in a marketing or communications managerial role within the film or VFX industries
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Communications
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite - specifically Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator - and editing software such as iMovie
• Proven history producing compelling digital content specifically for visual effects or film
• Experience submitting for film or VFX awards including, but not limited to, Academy Awards, BAFTAs, EMMYs and VES Awards
• Proven history pitching for and securing media, press and speaking opportunities
• Established relationships with film and industry journalists, publications and influencers
• Established relationships with the client side publicity teams we work with
• A comprehensive understanding of the latest trends within the VFX landscape
• Demonstrated ability managing and building social media channels for a related film, VFX, or tech company
• A keen eye for good design and creating engaging digital content is a must
