Overview

Do you have a curiosity about people, have excellent interpersonal skills, and consider yourself a skilled organizer? Spurs Sports & Entertainment is seeking a part-time, Administrative Assistant to support our internal family members in benefits administration and departmental duties!

In this position, applicants will gain experience and a better understanding of the role that employee benefits, compliance, and insurance coverage plays within an organization. The ideal candidate is an individual with strong organizational ability who governs their time and priorities well, is meticulous and accurate. They should communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, and be able to exercise critical thinking, problem solving and judgment.

As a prospect, it is imperative that they work well independently and as a member of the People Operations team. This role will be privy to private information, so this prospect will also maintain strict confidentiality, both in and out of the workplace at all times.

The candidate will provide a variety of clerical, coordination, and administrative activities in support of the team and will focus on the areas of compliance, employee orientation, employee benefits, and file maintenance.

Responsibilities
• Process, verify and maintain personnel file documentation relating to staff benefits and ensure all documents are accurately completed.
• Aid in coordinating employee benefits, health and wellness programs, workers' compensation, and leaves of absence.
• Provide clerical and administrative support to Risk, Benefits & Wellness team members, as needed.
• Assist with employee orientations.
• Heavy data entry and invoice processing.
• Learn and provide explanation on company policies, benefits, and procedures to employees.
• Other Duties as assigned.

Qualifications
• This position is part-time (no more than 29 hours/week) and requires the ability to work remotely 80% of the time. Applicants will need to be flexible to gradual in office hours.
• Outstanding administrative assistant skills are needed. At least one year of dynamic work experience as an administrative assistance is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of employee benefits and/or commercial insurance is preferred
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written directions.
• Ability to establish and follow detailed work procedures.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Power Point suite skills are required. Knowledge of Concur Solutions invoice software is a plus.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
• High level of interpersonal/social skills and capable of handling critical and confidential situations and information while demonstrating poise, tact, and diplomacy.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail oriented and excellent ability to follow up on deadlines.
• Organized and adapts well to a constantly evolving work environment.
