Responsibilities

What You'll Do

The P&C Representative will contribute to the development and implementation of People Management programs and initiatives, including but not limited to the following areas: Onboarding, Workforce Planning, Employee/Labor Relations, Performance Management Administration, and Off Boarding. Along with the Director, P&C Business Partner, this position will be instrumental in ensuring that People & Culture policies, procedures, programs, and services are effectively understood and implemented across the organization. This role will be a trusted partner for employees and management, and play a key role in building solid relationships at all levels in support of the SAG-AFTRA Mission.

• Manages onboarding, new hire orientation and exit interviews.
• Interprets and responds to inquiries from staff regarding P&C policies, procedures and programs.
• Responsible for updating changes to employee information in the ADP system and organizational charts.
• Creates and maintains various reports including temporary staff, termination and other ad hoc reports as necessary.
• Collaborates with P&C team members on record audits and mandatory reports, which may include I-9 audits, EEO-1 filings and other compliance reviews.
• Contributes to various P&C special projects and initiatives.
• Ensures consistent application and compliance with all SAG-AFTRA P&C practices and union contracts. May help design P&C policies and procedures as needed.
• Partners with management on disciplinary actions on time and attendance and other employee relations related matters. May participate in investigations as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned or as the situation dictates.

• Knowledge of People & Culture best practices and ability to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations pertaining to human resources practice.
• Strong interpersonal skills: high degree of patience and tact, and must be able to cultivate relationships with people from diverse backgrounds, both internally and externally.
• Strong communication skills in English, both oral and written; demonstrated consultative skills to gain the respect and trust from staff and leadership alike in building impactful solutions; exceptional listening skills – receptive to constructive feedback.
• Able to use sound judgment, discretion and maintain confidentiality.
• Able to organize, prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks under daily deadlines; able to work well under pressure.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Strong organizational skills with one or more ongoing assignments; very detail oriented.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or equivalent fields preferred, or 4 years of relevant work experience.
• Requires 2-4 years of demonstrated experience in various HR functions to include onboarding and off boarding, workforce planning, performance management, employee relations, benefits, etc.

PREFERRED BACKGROUND:

PHR, SPHR or SHRM certification a plus.
