Job Description
Join our fun, fast-paced, talented team as an investigative reporter. The ideal candidate has a deep source base, a hunger to break news, and an understanding at an instinctual level what makes a story work for Rolling Stone. This candidate should be able to write and report sensitively and smartly on stories of interest to diverse communities. Finally, the candidate must have the proven ability to craft features, deliver scoops, and respond to fast-moving events quickly, accurately, and with style.

Responsibilities:
• Deliver exclusive stories and features on the most important – and most colorful – figures in the TV, film, and streaming industry.
• Write and report multiple articles per week that advance the day's biggest, most controversial stories in movies, TV, and pop culture writ large.
• Brainstorm ideas with other reporters, editors, photographers, video producers, and social media managers.

Requirements:
• 5-10 years of experience in journalism
• The ability to juggle several stories and projects at the same time and keep a cool head under pressure
• A track record of delivering exclusive and high-quality material on deadline
• A deep source base and a proven ability to dig through financial filings, court records, and other documents
• Familiarity with digital news-gathering tools
• A commitment to collaborating with colleagues at every level of the organization

Typical wage range: $95k - $110k

Factors that could be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, years of experience and comparison to current employees already in this role. The typical candidate is hired below midpoint of the range. The total compensation package for this position will also include other elements, a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits including 401(k) eligibility and paid time off benefits.
