Job Description
Rolling Stone Films is hiring an Associate Producer for its fast-growing film, TV and podcast division. This is a position with opportunities for advancement, ideal for a highly organized, resourceful, creative, and entrepreneurial individual who seeks to work on the business and creative sides of the documentary film and television industry. This creative position will have both administrative and creative responsibilities, requiring a self-motivated person who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, working under the SVP of Rolling Stone Films to schedule (and join) meetings, track budgets and revenue, oversee research, write loglines and treatments, and managing a diverse slate of projects in. The Associate Producer will also oversee several podcast and doc projects, and work closely with the SVP of Rolling Stone Films to build new opportunities in the podcast space as we build this business.

A self-motivated work ethic is essential; so is a passion for music, pop culture, and documentary film and podcasts.

Responsibilities
• Creative thinking, developing new ideas and adapting Rolling Stone IP for podcast, film and TV development
• Manage all scheduling of in person and remote meetings, including daily internal and external meetings, and screening meetings with potential film and podcast partners
• Track budgets and revenue; manage and submit expense reports and travel; create and submit invoices for payments to contractors
• Collaborate with RS editors, writers and business staff
• Write loglines, treatments and other materials
• Story research using Rolling Stone archives and external sources
• Develop industry relationships with networks, producers, directors and writers
• Field inquiries from networks, producers, directors for development of new film, TV, podcast projects.
• Work with agents and PMC legal department on contracts with production companies and networks
• Work with PMC finance department on revenue goals and projections

Skills/Requirements
• 5 years professional experience
• Creative thinking, writing
• Strong multi-tasking skills: this person will juggle administrative and creative tasks each and day
• Interest in storytelling and filmmaking, especially in the music and pop culture space
• Ability to develop strong relationships within Rolling Stone and in the documentary film community.
• Passion for the subject matter and for the work.
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced, fast-growing environment

Typical wage range: $75k - $85k. Factors that could be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, years of experience and comparison to current employees already in this role. The typical candidate is hired below midpoint of the range. The total compensation package for this position will also include other elements, a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits including 401(k) eligibility and paid time off benefits.

Salary Details
Salary Range: $75,000 to $85,000 Per Year ($ USD)
