The Overview:

R&CPMK is thrilled to be adding a passionate Senior Account Executive (SAE) to our growing Multicultural Marketing & Communications team. We are a fast-paced team, developing culture-driven communications strategies and diverse initiatives that authentically connect our brand and entertainment clients to multicultural audiences.

We are looking for a strategic and creative earned media specialist with a range of great media relationships with national consumer, multicultural, and B2B press across broadcast, print, and online media. This role will provide an opportunity for you to apply your outstanding writing talents to craft outstanding media pitches, press releases, story angles, and other media materials to engage press and secure buzzworthy coverage.

You are an outstanding storyteller who understands how to strategically custom-craft narratives for varying audiences.

You're a collaborative teammate, able to work independently, and ready to take initiative. You're able to forecast the next big thing and have your finger on the pulse of entertainment, culture, and current events impacting multicultural communities. Your interest and passion for companies in the food & beverage and CPG space allows you to provide a deeply informed perspective for your clients.

You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and have a well-developed internal motivation to stay organized, providing you with an enviable grace under pressure.
• This role will be responsible for media relations and strategic outreach to lifestyle, food, trade, multicultural and entertainment outlets
• Help guide and actively participate in earned media strategy development, including the execution and ownership of key programs such as product launches, seasonal outreach, philanthropic events, breaking news, etc.
• This role supports in handling strategic partnerships on behalf of clients by identifying and cultivating relationships with key media contacts.
• Grow and maintain relationships with press and social media influencers
• Participate in the creation of PR plans and strategic recommendation memos

The Needs:
• 4+ years PR experience at an agency or in-house (at a company with a relevant scope and focus)
• Cultural competency and understanding of diverse consumers and their experiences
• A strategic and creative approach in story concept development and outreach
• A solid track record of developing and implementing relationships with key media in the multicultural space to generate buzz and earned media
• Ability to quickly grasp business needs and priorities, trending topics, and connect the dots in order to build timely media opportunities and strategies for clients
• Experience working as part of an integrated marketing team, representing the PR point of view for different audiences
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills, AP Style proficient

Salary: $60,000.00- $70,000.00 annually
