Across Octagon's Sports & Entertainment Network (OSEN) of agencies, we strive to create an environment that celebrates the distinctiveness of each team member, ensuring that everyone feels they are valued and can contribute to what's next.

Through leveraging the unique and fresh perspectives each person brings, we believe this power of inclusion fuels innovative solutions for our clients and provides for a rich and rewarding work environment.

In order to achieve this, we know it's important for our employee population to be composed of a diverse talent mix, reflective of the unique and different perspectives represented in the world we live and work in.

The Inclusive Diversity (ID) Event Coordinator reports directly into the VP of Inclusive Diversity and collaborates closely with the wider ID Ecosystem including Employee Resource Groups, ID Councils and the broader ID Team to successfully execute our DE&I projects. The ID Event Coordinator will work with these groups to help plan and execute events & programs such as panel discussions, fire-side chats, annual summits, training sessions, in-office cultural celebrations and more. THE WORK YOU'LL DO
• Coordinate events & programs across the OSEN network, including but not limited to monthly trainings, cultural events, HBCU Program, partnership events and as needed ''safe-spaces'' initiatives
• Monitor progress of event planning and resolve roadblocks to ensure timely and effective resolution of obstacles
• Manage the ID Team calendar with alignment to agency initiatives and cultural celebrations
• Assist ERGs and ID Councils with managing their programs & events
• Be the primary liaison between ID Team and vendors
• Coordinate budget and payment process
• Assist with the planning and coordination of the annual ID Summit (in-person) including travel logistics and guest list management
• Travel to offices will be required as needed for in-person events

THE BIGGER TEAM YOU'LL JOIN

Where others see complexity, we see possibility.
Octagon is the global sports, entertainment and experiential marketing arm of the Interpublic Group. But if that classification doesn't do it for you, and it shouldn't, let's take it a step further.

We are what we believe. And we believe that while the world of sports and entertainment is full of opportunities and possibilities, sometimes the amount of choice can seem a little overwhelming. Even daunting.

That's where we come into play.

At Octagon we inspire brands, talent, and our people to see the world for all its potential. We then help break down the complexity and push forward so you can make your next right move.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
• A passion for and expertise in diversity, equity & inclusion
• Effective interpersonal skills and ability to connect with diverse teams
• 2-3 years of work experience in event planning and coordination
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral

• Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
• Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• All applicants must provide proof of COVID vaccination or contact the organization's HR team if eligible for an exemption
