Chief Marketing Officer - Pure Flix

This role could be based in Scottsdale, AZ, Los Angeles, CA or New York, NY

We are seeking a Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) who can grow and scale a world-class marketing organization and be part of the executive leadership team to take our company to its next level of growth. The ideal candidate will be strategic with strong operational capabilities, results and outcome-oriented, a creative problem solver, highly collaborative, and be able to drive cultural transformation within the business. The CMO will develop and launch scalable global processes that drive customer acquisition and retention, articulate a compelling story on the importance of faith-based entertainment and further elevate the brand in an increasingly competitive market.

Responsibilities Include:
• Create and execute the marketing strategy and roadmap.
• Provide ongoing tracking, measurement, KPI, and ROI analysis for the team's marketing initiatives and campaigns to provide clear, actionable insights that inform and inspire future initiatives. This includes A/B testing.
• Manage and lead the marketing creative team - graphics, video, artwork, and creative insights. Ability to provide direction and feedback on creative work.
• Manage and lead the Audience Research and Analysis team to develop a data informed position on who our current and target customer segments are. Create strategies and tactics that help us acquire and retain these customers. Create messaging for each audience segment.
• Lead and manage Public Relations through outreach and influencers.
• Lead and manage digital communications utilizing blogs, podcasts, gated offers, landing pages, and SEO.
• Manage campaigns, processes, schedules, and project scoping.
• Lead and manage a technical marketing operations team focused on email marketing, conversion rate optimization, database segmentation, and HubSpot operations.
• Create and implement innovative multi-channel acquisition strategies & campaigns via strong collaboration with product, content, and technical teams.
• Lead and manage paid advertising efforts across multiple channels - Facebook, Google, Search, TV, Radio, and Programmatic. Determine the most effective spend mix between channels. Understanding of digital advertising optimization.
• Ensure the company has a coherent and consistent branding strategy.
• Increase conversion rates and traffic across all channels.
• Build engagement with content and reach new, diverse audiences.
• Build a community around the Pure Flix service to enable organic growth and reduce dependency on paid digital advertising. Increase the Pure Flix audience on Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram. Reactive and proactive moderation on these platforms.

Job Requirements Include:
• 5+ years of experience as a CMO, including experience scaling a growing team, supporting C-level executives, and driving company-wide marketing strategies in partnership with cross-functional teams.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in planning, managing, and executing multi-channel, multi-segment marketing campaigns.
• M.S. degree preferred.
• Experience in a Video on Demand company is preferred.
• Advanced subject matter knowledge of traditional and digital marketing.
• Ability to create and execute a marketing strategy.
• Ability to build a coherent and consistent branding strategy.
• Experience in paid advertising - Facebook, Google, Search, TV, Radio, and Programmatic. Ability to optimize spend mix between channels.
• Ability to provide direction, feedback, and insights on creative work – graphics, artwork, messaging, and video.
• Experience in leading and managing Public Relations through outreach and influencers.
• Experience in digital communications utilizing blogs, podcasts, gated offers, landing pages, and SEO.
• Experience in technical marketing operations - email marketing, conversion rate optimization, database segmentation, and HubSpot operations.
• Ability to define and execute a market research strategy to gain in-depth understanding of our customer.
• Solid research skills with the ability to stay ahead of current marketing industry trends.
• Experience in delivering marketing messages though video, mobile platforms, and social media.
• Dynamic leader with proven track record of leading organizations through significant change and growth.
• Proven leadership expertise with effective team building skills and conflict resolution management.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively across various departments with best-in-class content.
• Highly organized and able to multi-task and manage multiple projects and competing priorities without sacrificing accuracy or efficiency.
• Professional presence and ability to develop strong working relationships with executive management.
• Track record of being responsible for an annual budget with excellent performance metrics.
• Intrinsic drive to roll up your sleeves and get things done, a self-starter, productive working independently or collaboratively.
• Team-player and builder who can execute and thrive in a fast-paced environment and startup culture; strong decision-maker with the ability to reorient teams and drive execution cross-functionally when priorities change or are ambiguous.
• Data-driven decision-making utilizing KPIs, ROI analysis, and data analysis.
