What You'll Do

Psyonix is looking for an experienced Senior Level Designer to help drive the visual presentation, methods of construction, and gameplay flow of racing levels as part of a prototyping team. You will thrive in iterative exploration and rapid prototyping of new ideas building upon your experience with tried and true racing environments. With the other designers, be a champion for the player's experience of speed and fun in the game.

In this role, you will
• Explore and define vehicle level design and presentation as part of a small team of developers
• Engage in prototyping and rapid iteration of new level design concepts and mechanics
• Work collaboratively with engineers, artists, and other designers to find practical solutions without sacrificing fun or quality
• Obtain team playtest feedback on new levels and collaborate on improvements

What we're looking for
• Senior level design experience, preferably for vehicle-based racing games
• Experience in level lighting and landmarking
• Basic proficiency with current 3D modeling software like Maya or 3ds Max
• Experience with blocking in and building out levels, with a proficiency in communicating flow through a space
• Strong skills with rapid prototyping utilizing Unreal Engine 5 and Blueprints
• Shine in a collaborative team environment
