What You'll Do

Psyonix is searching for a Senior Outsourcing Engineer to support and supervise engineering efforts provided by outsource partners.

This role will provide front-line feedback for work submitted for review. The ideal candidate would be an experienced engineer who is able to communicate with outsource partners, including documenting existing pipelines and architectures, collecting or creating technical examples that demonstrate the quality bar, aggregate and deliver performance feedback, and finally coordinate with partners to scope requirements to match business objectives.

In this role, you will
• Be the bridge between external vendors and internal leads to discover and deliver user focused solutions
• Strengthen and grow existing partnerships and when necessary, identify opportunities to build relationships with new vendors
• Work with the Engineering Director and Leads to establish technical direction for our outsourcing vendors
• Communicate cross-discipline with Design, Art, UI, and Production to understand the goals and requirements of features to be implemented
• Ensure feature request requirements are clear, consistent, and achievable
• Frequently communicate feedback to the outsource partner, and ensure technical standards are consistently achieved
• Represent the technical discipline at a senior level, ensuring we have appropriate staffing, are prioritizing the right things, and risks are widely understood
• Continuously look for opportunities to improve how we work through technical advancements and adopting new best practices

What we're looking for
• Experience working with outsourced engineering teams
• Advanced C++ comprehension and experience with scripting languages
• Excels at giving feedback and has demonstrated leadership capability
• Experience developing for a live service or online multiplayer game is an asset
• Self-motivated, strong work ethic, and able to work independently and within a team
• Top notch communication, collaborative problem solving and design skills

This role is open to multiple locations (including CA).

The expected annual base pay range(s) for this position are detailed below. Each base pay range is relevant only for individuals who are residents of or will be expected to work within the specified locale. Compensation varies based on a variety of factors, which include (but aren't limited to) things such as skills and competencies, qualifications, knowledge, and experience. In addition to base pay, most employees are eligible to participate in Epic's generous benefit plans and discretionary incentive programs (subject to the terms of those plans or programs).

California Base Pay Range

$151,100 - $251,800 USD
