Job Description:
Provide clear and accurate instructions for the team (e.g. Making requests, asking technical questions, escalating incidents, etc.).
Provide insurance to partnering groups that their request will be properly maintained in the event of a problem (e.g. Runbook, alerts, charts/monitoring, etc.).
Provide clear guidelines for tracking a partner request (e.g. Jira boards and/or Confluence, office hours, etc).
Provide support to the business when a disruption to the PI Plan occurs in form of engineering consultation (e.g. LOE estimates, feasibility, resource/skillset limitations, etc.).
Provide measurements for the work that is being done by the Growth teams (e.g. Accurately identify blockers, time-box engineering efforts, accountability, etc.).
Provide the engineering leadership with recommendations for handling our growth based on business demands, and the internal health of the team (e.g. 1:1s, goal setting, people management, etc).
Maintain the SDLC by maintaining balanced relationships with external partners and colleagues (e.g. Project planning, estimation efforts, Q&A, etc).
We ensure a supportive, productive environment for the engineering team.
Requirements:
• 10+ years working in a relevant field (engineering, physics, mathematics, etc)
• 3+ leading an engineering group or team (engineering lead, manager, project manager, etc)
• 3+ years of experience working on high load, high availability services and apps.
Additional Qualifications
• Mobile and video streaming experience is a huge plus.
• Experience with OTT devices - Roku, etc.
• Experience working with mobile applications (iOS or Android)
• Strong verbal and written communication
