JOB TITLE: App Support Manager, Financial Systems

DEPARTMENT: MS&PM (MTS Finance)

LOCATION: New York

I. SUMMARY:

This position is to support ViacomCBS' Finance teams with technical and managerial expertise. The candidate will have background of working in a technology or Fin Ops team interfacing with clients from accounting, reporting, FP&A. Minimum seven + years combined experience in financial application administration, issue resolution, process improvement in the planning & reporting space. The individual will be a key Resource for the business, ensuring their Systems/Applications are performing up to requirements. This individual will work with Technology managers and developers to assist in day-to-day operation, documenting, testing and implementing IT solutions to comply with business requirements.

II. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Independently analyze and resolve application and process issues
• Work directly with business partners to support and maintain efficient technical and/ or process solutions per business requirements
• Work with external vendors to build and deploy small scale solutions
• Support monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing (month close), forecasting and budgeting processes within multiple applications.
• Major support functions include but are not limited to:
• Assess system capability for handling new process requirements
• Ensure meta data and data integrity
• Defining data areas, assigning Owners and Approvers, and deploying Approval Workflow processes
• Maintain user security for global user, systems data structures, system attributes and hierarchies
• Contribute to the success of the team by making recommendations on improving internal processes and workflows
• Own documentation on application functionality and customizations in place
• Support SOX and other compliance testing requirements
• Participate in special projects in the capacity of SME
• Train user groups in application functionality
• Mentor new team members

III. REQUIRED SKILLS:
• • Strong written, verbal skills and analytical skills
• Ability to handle competing priorities
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with ability to work as a team or independently
• Understanding of accounting concepts

IV. EXPERIENCE:
• • 5+ years' experience in Finance, Accounting or Information System department in an Analyst role that provides end user support
• Must have 2+ years of experience using Longview (Khalix) /TM1/ Hyperion or similar Multi-Dimensional tool and systems for Planning, Analysis and Management Reporting etc.
• Intermediate level SQL development experience is a big plus
• Experience with Windows Office applications along including advanced Excel skills (including macros) is required
• Experience working on an end to end application build project
• Business analysis and documentation experience preferred

V. EDUCATION:

Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology or related area is required. Graduate degree or MBA is a plus.
