Software Engineer II, Front End

The ideal candidate will come from an object-oriented development background and be passionate about front-end web technologies.

Responsibilities:
• Developing JavaScript-based applications for PlayStation gaming consoles and future flagship Sony devices and services
• Building digital commerce solutions for PlayStation games, media content, and subscription services
• Engaging with Product Managers, Designers, and other collaborators to craft world-class user experiences
• Contributing to existing shared software components to benefit multiple applications, and creating new components as we recognize the need for them
• Establishing robust tests to ensure software quality, including automation and build integration
• Deploying platform experiences through CI/CD pipelines
• Monitoring software releases, analyze telemetry, and adapt to production data

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent, or 2+ years of relevant work experience instead of a degree
• Good understanding and experience with object oriented programming, and advanced JavaScript concepts
• Experience in developing high-performance user interfaces
• Motivated and passionate about producing high-quality software
• Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Capable of producing detailed design and development documentation

Preferred Qualifications:
• 1-2 years of software development experience
• Single page applications
• React.js or React Native
• Restful API's
• Python
• Customer-facing UI Development
