The role

Reporting to the Director, Global Benefits in the US, and working with global and local partners. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, administering and evaluating our EMEA and APAC benefits which includes health insurance, life insurance, pension, leave policies and a wide variety of voluntary benefit offerings.

What you'll be doing

Participate in building and implementing new global benefits strategy

Design and coordinate employee benefits, pension programs and leave policies across EMEA and APAC countries

Identify opportunities to improve and harmonise existing programs, including process design, documentation, and training

Participate in benchmark surveys and provide insight and recommendations to help establish competitive benefits programs.

Manage relationships with vendors, brokers, and carriers, including monitoring of cost, service levels, processes, and accuracy of data

Support with plan renewals, working with providers on timelines and planning, contract compliance, benefits platform refreshes, issues management, communications frequency, schedule, and approach

Partner with team members like InfoSec, Legal, and Finance to onboard new benefit vendors and consultants and manage existing contract reviews

Attend pension trustee meetings and ensure compliance with data requirements on pensions, where applicable

Partners with internal teams/stakeholders to forecast and lead the benefits budget. This includes identifying costs, risk, and legal implications to benefits programs and potential changes

Be an escalation point for employee benefits queries and issues

Develop relationships with main partners such as Payroll, Tax, Finance, and all other HR and extended teams to facilitate collaboration across teams on benefit-related matters

Help develop and manage wellness opportunities and programs

Partner with other teams on M&A activities including ensuring smooth transitions and successful integrations

What we are looking for
• 8+ years of hands-on and demonstrable experience in benefits in EMEA and APAC
• Team player with an ability to work both collaboratively and asynchronously, and the ability to collaborate with all levels of partners
• Can operate strategically, but also roll up your sleeves and get in the weeds
• Knowledge of international (local country) laws pertaining to benefits; ability to find answers where there is a lack of knowledge across EMEA and APAC regions
• Experience with partnering and negotiating with benefits brokers and vendors
• Outstanding organisation, time management, and project management skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Effective employee communication skills
• Experience with benefits platforms or databases
• Experience with HRIS (Workday) a plus
• Proficient in English
