About the role and how you will spend your time:
• Listen, learn, and develop PlayStation's Global Financial and Reporting Systems. Collaborate with PlayStation Network engineering, product management, finance, and other partners in addition to the internal team
• Develop and manage distributed-systems to integrate PlayStation's online business all the way to the general ledger. Build both frontend and backend, including but not limited to a variety of API's, data transformations, ETL programs, and reporting dashboards
• Improve the financial data model in both data and technology: Oracle, Snowflake, S3, Redshift, etc.
• Analyze and reconcile data to support complex queries from finance, tax, and compliance departments
• Develop, monitor, and optimize programs and code: SQL, ETL programs, Bash scripts, Java or C/++, Perl, Ruby, NodeJS, JavaScript, etc.
• Assist in migration of on-prem servers to services and servers in AWS
• Help expand direct-to-consumer physical goods storefront-support finance integration for revenue, cost of goods sold, inventory reconciliation, shipping, and delivery

Essentials:
• Understanding of basic accounting, including Credit Card Settlements and reconciliation
• 5+ years experience solving problems and reconciling data in complex systems environments
• 5+ years experience in current software industry business models such as e-commerce sales, subscriptions, preorders, royalties, revenue sharing, and bounties
• 5+ years experience developing financial applications and/or implementing ETL solutions in a hybrid cloud/on-prem platform containing large, complex data from many sources
• Proven track record in designing, building, and tuning data models for performance
• Proficient with ETL Tools: Informatica, Matillion, etc.
• Understanding of distributed systems and backend architecture
• Strong proficiency in SQL (Oracle/Snowflake) and backend data model design
• Self-motivated and ability to operate independently with less supervision while also building a relationship working closely across other PlayStation teams
• Passion for pursuing new technologies and constantly learning
• Flexibility to work remote while offices are closed for COVID-19, and flexibility to work in multiple time-zones as required
• Passionate about software development; ability to provide guidance on design, best practices, and architecture standards
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences in a global environment
