PlayStation is looking for a hard-working Software Engineer interested in pushing the limits of streaming technology. As the leaders of game streaming, the Core team is responsible for developing the protocol and technology that powers PlayStation Now.

As a Software Engineer, you are an expert in at least one key area for the team. Your experience allows you to quickly get up to speed in new areas and take point.

[Responsibilities]
• Implement new client and server features
• Expand the PlayStation Now service to new platforms
• Push technological boundaries on R&D projects
• Follow the development process to ensure on time and on budget delivery
• Contribute to improvement of the development process
• Document key technical areas for knowledge sharing and presentations

[Requirements]
• BS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
• 3+ years programming in C++
• Expert in at least one key technical area
• Excellent debugging skills
• Experience working with client/server architecture
• Motivated self starter capable of removing roadblocks
• Attention to detail at both the product and coding level
• Ability to work with others and communicate ideas optimally (written and verbal)

[Pluses]
• Experience working with client/server architecture
• Video encoding/decoding experience
• Network experience with UDP protocols
• JavaScript experience
• Experience developing on mobile platforms (Android or iOS)
• Passionate gamer
