We're looking for a Software Engineer II who will craft and develop cloud-based network software services for the PlayStation® and other applications/devices. You will provide strong technical abilities in cloud based software development and highly scalable API designs.
Our team is innovating and crafting the next generation of gaming experiences on PlayStation! You will work alongside partners in engineering, product, design, and research to build tools and technologies that keep our players safe.

Role Responsibilities
• Developing JavaScript-based applications for PlayStation gaming consoles and future flagship Sony devices and services
• Engaging with Product Managers, Designers, and other collaborators to build world-class user experiences
• Contributing to existing shared software components to benefit multiple applications, and creating new components as we recognize the need for them
• Establishing robust tests to ensure software quality, including automation and build integration
• Deploying platform experiences through CI/CD pipelines
• Monitoring software releases, analyzing telemetry, and adapting to production data

Qualifications
• 3+ years of proven programming experience in front end application programming using React, Angular or similar
• Good understanding and experience with object oriented programming, and advanced JavaScript concepts
• Experience in developing high-performance user interfaces
• Motivated and passionate about producing high-quality software
• Experience applying RESTful APIs
• Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Capable of producing detailed design and development documentation
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
