Senior Payment Operations Analyst (12 Month FTC)

Role overview:

The Global Payments team are responsible for enabling PlayStation Store consumers to pay for their digital content, services, and PS hardware. The Payments Team has supported the growth of the business by continuously improving the payment experience, optimising payment routing, and enabling new payment methods. We are seeking individuals with an entrepreneurial spirit, interested in working together at the forefront of online retail and subscription services aimed at exceeding the expectations of the gaming community!

Reporting to the Global Payment Senior Operations Manager, the ideal candidate will be passionate about consumer journey and driving efficiency. You will supervise and analyse payments critical metrics and use a data driven approach to identify payment opportunities and optimise payment performance.

What you'll be doing:
• The Payment Operations analyst must have excellent knowledge of ecommerce CNP payment business processes, standard methodologies, strong customer service and documentation skills.
• Payment performance monitoring and anomaly resolution, working through exception processing with partners and internal teams
• Payment fee tracking, analysis, and optimisation
• Responding to escalations of payment related incidents from customer support teams
• Provide meaningful reporting and insight regarding consumer payment journey and friction in the payment flow globally
• Drive resolution and communicate to regional partners as well as publishing.
• Communication of regional VoC and partner requirements into Global Payments organisation to aid the development of any payment strategy and the formation of the payments roadmap.
• Communications related to the deployment of new functionalities.
• Represent regional payment operations in regular partner forums.
• Write reports and presentations to guide operational decisions periodically and on the fly.

What we are looking for:
• Deep understanding of card schemes and regulation
• Knowledge of the CNP payment ecosystem
• Prior experience in e-commerce
• Experience and industry knowledge of card payments (issuing & acquiring), payments innovation, alternative payment methods and payment industry changes
• Prior experience of driving efficiencies in an operational business environment
• Client-focused with ability to build relationships and partnerships with internal cross-functional teams across various levels of management
• Ability to interact expertly with a diverse group of executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
• Strong analytical skills

Desirable:
• Experience bridging physical and digital retail channels
• Experience of working with 3rd Party Vendors
• Experience and/or curiosity about the video game industry
