Senior Data Analyst (PlayStation Stars)

Sony Interactive Entertainment is seeking a Sr. Data Analyst to be a key member of the team that drives loyalty and engagement programs within the recently announced PlayStation Stars business. This team will serve as a cornerstone for how PlayStation deepens and sustains players' relationships with our platforms and brand.
In this role, you are responsible for data analytics of player behaviors on the platform, campaigns that drive desired consumer outcomes, and program performance management. You will have a deep affinity for working with quantitative data, experience utilizing scientific method to develop and confirm hypothesis, and possess creativity and curiosity in applying data science to player engagement!
This is a role that collaborates and coordinates with partners throughout the organization to help them meet their business objectives through consumer engagement strategies. We are seeking a motivated and talented individual that has a genuine desire to build fun and engaging campaigns that delight the PlayStation audience while delivering measurable results.
Responsibilities:
• Utilize scientific method to develop, measure and optimize consumer engagement campaigns that deepen player's enjoyment of PlayStation's products and services
• Forecast, measure and manage campaign performance from both an engagement and financial perspective
• Partner with specified business units to align program elements and campaigns with their business objectives
• Coordinate with operations teams through set up, testing and publishing of campaigns
• Inform the development of new features and capabilities within the program in partnership with product, creative and program partners
• Accountable for campaign performance and associated reporting to the leadership team
Skills and Capabilities:
• Specific experience working in a business-to-consumer context modeling data, providing recommendations and applying statistical analysis to drive consumer engagement
• Experience developing predictive systems, data models and algorithms
• Fluent proficiency in testing methodologies and applications using data from digital platforms
• Ability to process, cleanse and validate the integrity of data to be used for analysis and further experimentation
• Proven record working collaboratively and building relationships with a wide variety of internal partners/stakeholders
• Good understanding of best practices in user experience across console, web, and mobile platforms
• Flexible, professionally mature, proactive approach
• Strong interpersonal and time leadership skills
• High levels of personal motivation to further your skills, experience, and business knowledge
Qualifications:
• BS, MS, or Ph.D. in the quantitative field
• 7+ years of experience with applied statistics or experimentation at scale in an industry setting
• Demonstrated experience optimizing data-centric campaigns towards business outcomes
• Strong appreciation for the passion and diversity of the PlayStation audience!
• Strong understanding of financial concepts e.g., NPV, CLV
• Familiarity with machine learning algorithms and methodologies
Desired qualifications:
• Experience working with product and engineering teams
• Experience working in global organizations

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role's base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.
Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

The estimated base pay range for this role is listed below.
$147,300 - $220,900 USD
