Role overview:

The successful candidate will deliver business growth and increase marketing return on investment by leading the local media approach for all products (Hardware, Software, Services) across all channels, supporting Product Marketing leads as they manage individual campaigns.

They will also develop a solid understanding of relevant product and brand metrics in addition to PlayStation's own data capabilities. This will help you set annual strategy whilst ensuring the team understands the player base, campaign goals and measurement.

Responsibilities & Tasks:
• Media
• Support the Product team in embedding a global media strategy into locally-relevant tactical media briefs and approaches,
• Help with tactical media planning when required, ensuring tactics are on strategy, data-informed, following best practice and with clear measurement.
• Develop and maintain a local campaign portfolio overview, helping to align media activations, audiences and targeting, channel investment and critical metrics.
• Manage communications and regularly align with global media teams, other Territory media specialists and the Regional media agency hub
• Work with the global media team and local media agency to ensure global media strategies are understood and relevant for local needs.
• Establish and maintain local media benchmarks
• Manage local media agency relationships – driving team culture, improving planning and reporting deliverables and optimising briefing and response processes. Coordinate annual auditing.
• Drive media innovation across campaigns, develop test & learn plans, share, and reapply takeaways across local campaigns that feed into global initiatives.
• Improve local visibility of globally handled media activity
• Partner with the global media team in maximising our media partnerships and joint business plans.
• Partner on responsible media initiatives, including data and privacy, media quality, disinformation, and DE&I.
• Provide input into global media strategy and long-lead media planning for flagship campaigns, to drive increased relevance and local opportunity.
• Consumer Insight & Marketing Analytics
• Lead local marketing analysis across Brand, Hardware, First- and Third-party Software and Services/D2C
• Support Product Marketing and Communications teams to provide robust understanding of campaign impact.
• Lead value analysis for all local initiatives across touchpoints to deliver actionable learnings for future marketing initiatives
• Super-user for all internal Marketing data resources, tools, and systems, improving visibility of these among the UK team, and help to upskill in data-informed decision making.
• Champion global to local audience segmentation and understanding. Own Local player insights and data, utilising Global tools for Local effectiveness.
• Act as a key conduit between local and global marketing to escalate and champion insight needs and secure support.
• Develop a clear, objective overview of marketing activity and process. Use this view to inform strategic priorities and help shape the UK marketing team's approach and output.
• Routinely surface and socialise data and insights for: brand health, consumer sentiment, website, e-commerce, PlayStation platform and player behaviours, engagement and monetisation, retailer insights and data sources
• Input into Local business and commercial planning – surfacing consumer insight and platform analytics to support forecasting or sales analysis.

What we're looking for:
• 7+ years of work experience in a media or marketing analytics capacity
• Experience in media, digital marketing, preferably with agency-side experience
• Strong analytical approach who will seek insights and adopt a methodical approach passionate about the customer.
• Strong paid media expertise, especially in digital
• Technical understanding of AdTech including adservers, DMPs, DSPs, on-boarding and data collaboration, cross device analytics.
• Ability to interpret and model data including qualitative and quantitative information, to draw considered and robust conclusions
• Passion to explore data analytics and insights tools and report as required.
• Positive relationship management, planning, negotiation skills.
• Ability to run numerous projects simultaneously with time pressured results for multiple business partners.
• Ability to handle Third Party relationships with sub-contractors, agencies, or other collaborators
• Ability to collaborate efficiently with global and local teams across various time zones

• Enterprise Analytics Platforms (e.g., Adobe Analytics)
• Data Warehousing and Visualision Tools (e.g., MicroStrategy, QlikSense, Datorama)
• Media Planning Tools (e.g., Comscore, Global Web Index, YouGov)
• AdTech & MarTech (e.g., DCM, Sizmek, Salesforce, DoubleVerify, Adwords)
• Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word), Outlook and Internet applications.
