Manager, Software Engineering - Front End

San Francisco, CA

We are seeking a motivated Software Engineering Manager to handle the management duties of a Software Engineering team developing user interfaces for the PlayStation 5 console. You will be responsible for creating a productive engineering environment through the removal of barriers to your team's efficiency while also ensuring your team is growing their skillsets.

Responsibilities:
• Leading, mentoring, appropriately delegating, and empowering a hardworking team of engineers to deliver against strategic business outcomes
• Uphold the highest standards of performance for self and team
• Lead multiple projects. Estimate, plan, and slice projects to frequently deliver value to production.
• Collaborate across business units and product teams spread over multiple timezones to develop and execute against the team's vision, strategy, and roadmap.
• Act as a change agent, initiating appropriate changes to support continuous business improvement
• Comfort with proactively and independently working towards results in team environments.

Qualifications:
• Overall 6+ years of software development experience
• 1-2 years of people management experience
• Able to manage, mentor, and empower teams.
• Solid leadership skills and a passion for building, maintaining, and deploying consumer facing experiences.
• Strong communication, cross-group collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to balance priorities across multiple projects.
• Ability to inform and influence technical discussions and decisions.
• Experience with agile development practices emphasizing continuous improvement.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Prior experience with technologies such as JavaScript, React, ReactNative, TypeScript, Jenkins, MySQL, etc, is a strong plus.
