Role overview:
• Reporting into the Senior Manager, Global Packaging, this role is responsible for leading a team of Hardware Packaging Planners to ensure efficient development, approval and production of PlayStation hardware, template and manual packaging globally.
• Liaise with both internal and external teams throughout projects, such as Marketing, Creative, Legal, PS&C, repro agencies, print vendors and warehouses to ensure we deliver comprehensive and quality packaging solutions on time, and to spec.

What you'll be doing:
• Be the line manager for members of the Hardware Packaging team, acting as their escalation point and supporting them with their development
• Accountable for ensuring direct reports all meet their deadlines, as well as keeping projects on track by keeping in close contact with other departments throughout
• Oversee relationships with all key external packaging and reprographic suppliers in the local region ensuring work is efficiently allocated (in line with financial and capacity restraints as appropriate)
• Responsible for leading and driving forward any special hardware packaging projects from a print perspective, globally.
• Bring innovation and creativity to our packaging, keeping up to date with changes and new ideas in the print and packaging arena.
• Support the Senior Manager, Global Packaging with new initiatives relating to Hardware packaging.
• Coordinate closely with other branches of the Packaging team, to ensure parity and alignment on team goals, priorities, and progress.
• Liaise with Supply Chain team to plan Operational timings, ensuring this information is fed up to the wider team in timely manner
• Accountable for adhering to artwork sign off dates (as agreed with Senior Manager, Global Packaging) and timely escalation of any concerns or obstacles, as appropriate
• Liaise with Ops counterparts to ensure artworks are on track for release
• Reprographic SIE daily contact regarding current and upcoming Hardware projects, with monthly reviews with the Account Manager
• Fortnightly/weekly alignment with packaging counterparts to share any common issues/findings

What we're looking for:
• 7+ years of experience in packaging development and print management, including experience with manufacturing and procurement
• 7+ years of experience in project management, with proven track record of hitting deadlines
• 7+ years of experience working with international packaging partners and suppliers
• Knowledge of working with glossaries and naming conventions, and ensuring that our products adhere to these at all times
• Highly effective communication, sourcing, consulting and collaboration skills
• Line management experience is a must
• End to end supply chain experience desirable

Preferred Qualities:
• The ability act as a motivated, reliable, self-starter who uses initiative to work proactively
• Intellectual bandwidth to manage multiple stakeholders across geographies and functional specialisms.
• An ability to manage multiple tasks and projects with a keen eye for detail – precision, accuracy, and very good attention to detail essential
• Relationship builder, who can communicate at different levels of the organisation effectively.
• Effective communication skills – being an influencing and occasionally persuasive person
• A natural aptitude for learning and understanding multiple systems and tools
• Able to identify and develop opportunities to improve, innovate and/or pioneer new ways of working through continuous process improvement practices
• IT literate
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
• Detail orientated
• Knowledge of JIRA beneficial
• Foreign language knowledge a strong plus
• InDesign and Illustrator knowledge advantageous
