Group Manager, Resources Manager- San Mateo

We are an in-house agency at Sony PlayStation® that specializes in marketing everything PlayStation® related. We are seeking a Group Manager, Resources Manager or to join our Global Creative Services and direct the planning of resources across multiple departments, external partners, and projects. This includes, but is not limited to, identifying talent needs, resourcing conflicts, and resource utilization. Ensure the balance of assignments and proper skillsets are identified, contracted (when applicable) and managed. This position will supervise project management and support accurate communication and workflow throughout the lifecycle of projects.

Responsibilities:
• Direct and lead day-to-day assignments and oversight of multiple internal and external resources.
• Manage outside resources on tasks throughout various stages of projects (includes budgets, timelines, estimates, invoices, payments, outtake/intake of assets, agreements, and licenses, where applicable).
• Research, hire, assign and align various creative professionals to various projects to meet established requirements, productivity, quality, and project timelines.
• Oversee productivity and partner with the operations and accounting team in forecasting and reporting monthly expenses management.
• Daily communications and coordination with Client Engagement department to ensure timelines, sourcing, and risk mitigation is identified.
• Serve as the primary resourcing contact for the agency
• Stay current with the industry trends and creative talent
• Assess and identify areas of opportunity to improve project management through establishing standard methodologies, training, and opportunities across departments.
• Partner with all Agency teams in managing the smooth and efficient project workflow through detailed scheduling, identification and planning of resources and quality-assurance procedures.
• Oversee Project Management to proactively prioritize, and identify risks, and present solutions to project leads
• Create and maintain a work environment that promotes client service, teamwork, performance feedback, individual recognition, mutual respect, and employee satisfaction ensuring quality hiring, training, and succession planning processes that encompass the Company's diversity commitment

• Solid understanding of business models, objectives, financial metrics, etc. used in decision-making.
• Extensive experience leading and managing the development and implementation of large and complex creative initiatives
• Ability to identify and execute effective solutions.
• Ability to work well in a team environment and develop collaborative relationships with colleagues across the company
• Impeccable presentation and communication skills.
• Experience using: Project management workflow software, Digital Asset Management Software, Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Thorough understanding of key steps in bringing film/video, print, social media, digital, packaging, and other projects to market.
• Deep understanding of creative teams, process, and work to properly identify resource needs on projects.
• Ability to a build strong network of freelancers with varied skillsets.
• Ability to lead projects, develop timelines, coordinate project teams, and implement action items during the life of a project.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities with extreme attention to detail.
• Outstanding research skills.

Qualifications:
• 12+ years' experience in Advertising, Marketing, in resource and/or project management, advertising or a related field. Management position in Advertising, Marketing or Creative Agency. Previous experience successfully leading a large portfolio is a plus!
• Thorough understanding of key steps in bringing film/video, print, social media, digital, packaging, and other projects to market.
• Deep understanding of creative teams, process, and work to properly identify resource needs on projects.
• Ability to a build strong network of freelancers with varied skillsets.
• Ability to lead projects, develop timelines, coordinate project teams, and implement action items during the life of a project.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities with extreme attention to detail.
• Outstanding research skills
• Bachelor's degree in Advertising, Marketing, or a related field; or equivalent education and work experience.
