Director, Creative Design Adaptation- San Mateo

This role leads, builds and manages the In-House Agency's Design Adaptation team focusing mid to high complexity projects for Sony PlayStation. The ideal candidate will have a strong creative voice and critical thinking in a fast-paced environment with the experience to lead critical marketing, advertising, promotional and packaging initiatives. Visual design is your expertise along with the ability to lead and direct digital, graphics, copy, video, print production, and creative processes. We are looking for a candidate with strong leadership skills directing the collaborative efforts of a large creative team. The design adaptation team can scale easily as priorities change and has experience articulating design visions and copy without sacrificing the quality of PlayStation's brand. The creative leader inspires, coaches, directs and manages a team of creative professionals and has a proven track record of partnering, collaborating, and ideating with clients, partners, and various divisions. You will work in partnership and compliment both the Ideation and Creative Studio teams.

Responsibilities:
• Provide creative that meets business and brand needs, including content, videos, packaging, and marketing executions
• Define and optimize our processes and methodologies to improve production workflows
• Provide creative team clear communication and motivation to produce high-level creative solutions
• Lead, communicate, develop, and manage objectives, priorities, schedules, and projects at all stages of design and production to all internal and external partners.
• Drive the conceptual development, execution, and management of design, copy and video projects.
• Facilitate communication between internal departments (accounts, operations, studio, ideation).
• Actively collaborate with all Creative and Marketing teams. Daily partnership with the Sr. Director Client Engagement & Creative Operations, Creative Studio and Ideation team to ensure all projects are moving in a cohesive direction.
• Contribute to the refinement of processes for workflow and pipeline optimization and integrate fundamental strategies while sharing key discoveries and insights.
• Develop and train clients and operations on brand guidelines and creative toolkits to empower individuals to manage our brand.

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field.
• 15+ years' experience in Creative Design in a dynamic Marketing environment, working either in-house or agency-side. Have experience managing Designers (digital and traditional), Copywriting, Video, Print Production and working with other creative subject areas.
• Experience with brainstorming, campaign development, creative brief development, and creative execution.
• Confident and competent in presenting ideas and thinking with coherence and conviction to any level.
• Comprehensive understanding of effective Creative Design, Copywriting, and Video practices, trends, techniques, and processes across all touchpoints and mediums (e.g. campaigns, packaging, in-store, digital, mobile/app, print, direct, interactive, and video).
