Role overview:
The store team are responsible for managing the different digital store fronts, enhancing content (game) sales and delivering a best-in-class customer experience.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Analytics and Insights, this role will play an integral part of the CRO Insights & Analytics team and will support in their efforts to create a data driven decision culture whilst pro-actively searching for improvement opportunities, using data and insights to guide your decision making and to help articulate, prioritise, and lead hypotheses for improvement.
What you'll be doing:
You will focus on understanding customer behaviour across PS Store's digital store fronts (PS4, PS5, and web/mobile platforms). You will be responsible for analysing the business impact of content and channel optimisation initiatives, communicating results to leaders, and promoting a data informed decision.
• Produce deep dives and answer business questions from the PS Store content and channel optimisation teams
• Deeply understand how PS Store structure and content impacts the customer experience and likelihood to purchase
• Proactively identify improvements in customer journeys through a combination of investigative analysis and testing strategies
• Prepare recommendations that the business can action to reduce any risk or maximise returns
• Present to business partners about customer behaviour on PS Store
• Govern the A/B testing program for the PS Store Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO) team
• Organize regular forums to share insights and findings from deep dives, A/B testing, and optimisation
• Work with the Monetization Product team to define success criteria and evaluate the performance of new features
• Understand business challenges & opportunities and identify where data could help support business decisions,
• Invent and adopt best practices in reporting and analysis: data integrity, report design, visualizations, validation, and documentation
• Build and maintain robust critical metrics, support target setting and monitoring for CRO verticals/team
• Develop and deliver analytics reporting and dashboards as required by business areas.
• Ensure that reporting & analytics are delivered in a timely manner to the business and relevant partners.
• Stay up to date with PlayStation's reporting and analytics capabilities, tools, and data sources

• You keep up with industry trends in gaming, entertainment, and technology
• You are comfortable working with global teams in distributed offices from different backgrounds & cultures
• You can break down technical concepts (i.e., statistical principles in A/B testing) into simple explanations
• You are focused on impact and efficiency over level of effort
What we're looking for:
• 3+ years' experience in a technically focused analytical role – Ecommerce, B2C, Entertainment or similar
• Experience working with Web Analytics tools such as Adobe Analytics (Omniture) or Google Analytics and customer insight data on ecommerce or B2C websites
• Additional knowledge of SQL is a bonus
• Proven experience with A/B testing (experiment design, prioritization, hypothesis creation, statistical analysis of results)
• Ability to convert data and numbers into stories
• Strong leadership skills to advocate and advance a data-driven culture
• Working in a global company with high volumes of consumer data, data management, data processes and flows in large scale system
• Comfortable combining data from various sources into reports and presentations
• Strong analytical skills including the ability to structure problems for analysis, analyse the data and understand root cause
• Experience analysing data and communicating findings
• Qualification (or experience to degree standard) in Statistics, Mathematics, Operational Research, or another numerate subject
