Minimum Requirements:
• Minimum two years of experience using Deadline and Autodesk Shotgrid in a VFX production environment
• A focus on Computer Science/Engineering as an undergraduate is a major plus
• Experience with Linux/UNIX, in particular the shell environment and navigating through the file system
• Basic knowledge of industry software is a benefit (Arnold, Maya, Houdini, etc.)
• Experience with and/or interests in any of the following technologies and areas is beneficial: python, git, RHEL, rpm, ZFS, NFS, SMB, virtualisation, cloud infrastructure, network layers, data science and optimization, web development
• Experience with image processing techniques in Nuke or equivalent tools
• Experience tracking software, databases, and/or spreadsheets for meticulous tracking of render assets
• Knowledge of color space, photogrammetry tools such as Reality Capture, and Unreal Engine are a plus
• Attention to detail
• Willingness to work very flexible hours, including weekends and/or evenings.
• Well-developed organization and communication skills, both verbal and written (fluent in English and/or German)
• Ability to manage time and priorities tasks to succeed under tight deadlines and to handle a fast paced, occasionally high-pressure environment
• Enjoy being part of a team to collaborate, assist others and be willing to share techniques and skills but work independently as well

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Monitor, manage and keep the render farm running at maximum capacity
• Maintain rendering priorities, blocking and unblocking jobs and allocating rendering resources when necessary
• Identify and report render errors to artists/Production, developers and assist when needed
• Check and restart failed render tasks
• Monitor disk space usage and flag high disk or network usage over-night
• Restart unreliable blades and report them to IT
• Provide first level technical support to artists and production team members
• Provide additional information to, and where required, liaise with the IT team to assist in trouble-shooting technical issues
