The Mission Ahead:

A member of our 2D Pipeline team, the Pipeline Developer is responsible for creating and maintaining a suite of tools, apps, and systems to support the workflows of our Production teams. The Pipeline team supports multiple projects in parallel from concept to delivery and as a member of this team there will be opportunities to design, support, and maintain new software as well as add new features and maintain our suite of existing in-house tools. As a software developer, you marry your top-tier technical skills with the initiative to propose and execute solutions in collaboration with the Pipeline Supervisor and other stakeholders through an effective grasp of Agile development methodology.

Day-to-Day, You'll Accomplish:
• Collaborating with the Stakeholders and the Pipeline supervisor to implement solutions.
• Supporting the team and the in-house tools.
• Designing, architecting, and implementing new VFX tools and workflows.
• Participate in regular code reviews and architecture discussions

Your Track Record:
• At least 2+ years of experience in a VFX studio (or equivalent industry)
• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent subject
• Advanced knowledge of Python is a must
• Working knowledge of C++ is a bonus
• Expert with Windows and Linux operating systems
• Basic knowledge of key VFX applications and APIs (Nuke, Katana, Houdini, and/or Maya)
• Experience using development best practices (Unit testing, pep8, design patterns)

Nice To Have:
• Familiarity with other relevant VFX software packages
• Understanding of relevant third-party technologies such as ACES, OpenEXR, and OpenColourIO.
